04/2004 - today: Co-owner of the design, supervision and construction office under the name Visvikis & Barlou - Engineers & Architects
My main activity in this office is the construction of commercial stores and buildings, which requires proper communication with the owners, the project designers, and proper coordination of works and crews, with the main goal of proper and faster implementation of the project.
Also regarding the design sector of the office, I undertake the elaboration of the structural-seismic studies of new buildings and their supervision.

04/1997 - 04/2006: Structural designer in the design office E.Zerma-Marathia. In this office I had undertaken the elaboration of structural studies and supervisions of building projects in all their stages (preliminary design, final design and implementation design). I had also done a lot of topographical jobs.
For a long period I had successfully undertaken the development of PC applications in C++. So I developed the following applications:
a) dimensioning of randomly shaped metal, composite and reinforced concrete sections under uniaxial and biaxial bending with axial force.
b) pre-processing and post-processing static analysis application, which communicate with various static analysis programs, and which is a tool for the designer for creation and presentation of his structural-seismic study.
c) for the correct and reliable presentation of the construction drawings of the implementation study.
